NLC Bids Farewell to Rev. Deepak and Family

NLC community bid a grand farewell to one of our beloved Faculty Rev. Deepak Kharel and his family on March 27, 2012, in an in-house program attended by NLC staff, faculty and their families.

After a brief welcome, Rev. Tony Thomas led everyone in the moment of worship. It was followed by a presentation, featuring the life of Rev. Deepak at NLC, which also had sections of greetings from Aunty Mary Thannickal, Dr. Vinita Henson and few other NLC staff.

Rev. Muthukumar, Dean of Students and Rev. Biren K. Nayak, Dean of Academics shared their observations and wished him success in his mission endeavors. Followed by this, Rev. Deepak Kharel reflected upon his life and experiences at NLC. He acknowledged that it was here, he was shaped into a mission worker and assured that he will carry the vision of Ashram to Nepal.

Dr. Thannickal spoke very warmly of Rev. Deepak, especially appreciated his preaching at New Life Church. Then, he handed the "Trophy of Appreciation" to acknowledge the contribution of Rev. Deepak to the Nava Jeeva Ashram Community. Dr. Thannickal also offered a prayer of dedication towards Rev. Deepak and Family, consecrating them for service in Nepal.

This memorable event was followed by photo session and delicious fellowship dinner. We send Rev. Deepak and family with our heartfelt well-wishes and assure them continued support from the Nava Jeeva Ashram community.
