New Book Released in Honor of Dr. John Thannickal

On the grand occasion of NLC Graduation on Feb 25th 2012, a Festschrift in Honor of Dr. John S. Thannickal was released as a part of his 80th birthday celebrations and accomplishments in Christian service. Prof. Dr. Siga Arles, Director of CFCC introduced the book to the audience and handed the first copy to Dr. Thannickal.

A Festschrift is a book that celebrates a life of a senior leader who has contributed significantly to the field of his expertise. Dr. Thannickal's interest has been in developing indigenous patterns of missions to share the gospel of Christ in India, which is evidenced by his recent book, "Ashram:A Communicating Community" (published by CFCC).

In his personal letters to all the contributors of articles, Dr. Thannickal writes: "The editors have done a commendable job of combining all the articles, letters and my biographical information and, to my surprise, released it during our New Life College graduation, on Feb 25th. I am going through the book now and it is very well-done! I am amazed that many of my friends have taken time to write beautiful words of appreciation about me.  I never thought that I deserve such appreciations from my friends like you. It is nothing but the love of God. I thank God for your love."
